Re: Boycott of Delmonte Foods Ltd.
November 22, 2010 Dear Brother Riley:
Following the letter received from the Saint John District Labour Council calling on the New Brunswick Federation of Labour to proclaim a boycott Delmonte Foods Ltd., the Executive Council voted to endorse this action.
The New Brunswick Federation of Labour is declaring a boycott of all Delmonte Food Ltd. products. After a three month period, the New Brunswick Federation of Labour will review the situation to determine if a boycott is still necessary. A letter will sent out to all of our affiliates to communicate the boycott in our next general mailout.
If there is anything else that we can do to assist our Sisters and Brothers in their fight against the union busting happening at the Port of Philadelphia Pennsylvania, please let us know.
